  • Income & wealth tax:

    • Whether you pay income & wealth tax in the Netherlands, depends on whether you move the main part of your life to the Netherlands or not.

    • OrangeVisas recommends to talk with a Dutch-based fiscal advisor.

    • OrangeVisas can connect you to one of our partner fiscal organizations.

    • In short:

      • There is no capital gains tax.

      • The maximum income tax is 52%.

      • The wealth tax is ± 2% of your wealth.
Again: it depends where is the 'center of your main life': that depends whether or not you have to pay taxes at all in the Netherlands, or in your native country.  We can connect you with a Netherlands based international tax advisor that can help you in this process.

  • Municipality tax:

    • When you live in the Netherlands, you will pay taxes to the municipality; these taxes are not related to income.

    • The taxes are for the garbage pick-up service, water service, road service and the sewer.

    • The exact amount depends in which municipality you live, it is around EUR 2000-2,500 a year.

  • Health insurance

    • Every person in the Netherlands must have a health insurance.

    • A healthy insurance costs ± EUR 150-400 a month, depending on how much service you want to include in your package. If your 'center of life' is not in the Netherlands, you probably do not have to take out health insurance. Please consult a Netherlands based international tax advisor for this.
